The Louisville Police Athletic/Activities League was founded in 2000. It is a crime prevention program that relies on recreation, athletic, and educational activities to build a positive relationship between police officers, youth, and the community. The mission of Louisville PAL is to focus on inner city and at risk youth between the ages of 5 to 18 who need positive values in their lives, a sense of achievement, increased discipline, and an improved sense of self worth.

Police officers and community volunteers provide leadership, dedication, and friendship to the youth in Louisville PAL programs. By fostering an atmosphere of mutual interests, respect, and trust between law enforcement officers and our youth, PAL hopes to reduce crime, violence, and substance abuse. Louisville PAL is a member of the National Association of Police Athletic/Activities Leagues which includes over 350 PAL member chapters in law enforcement.
